Summer Camp 2010
Immerse your child in art and nature this summer. Your child will spend an entire week like an artis, learning about artists and BEING an artist!
The Leighton Art Centre’s one week Art and Nature Summer Camp provides children with a comprehensive immersion experience. The program is designed to teach children the importance of our environment and the links between art and our natural world. Throughout the week children are given the opportunity to sketch, paint, journal, tie dye, sculpt, create and participate in games and nature hikes.
A bus service from Calgary is available on a daily basis free of charge! Children are on site from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
This summer over 450 children will benefit from their camp experience at the Leighton Art Centre.
The Leighton Art Centre is located 20 kms SW of Calgary on 80 acres of rolling foothills. Founded by artist Barbara Leighton, we are dedicated to bringing art and nature together for all children. With an inspiring 300 mile panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains, it is a true country atmosphere.

To enroll your child in summer camp, please print off and complete the registration form. Download registration form.
Completed forms, including payment can be mailed or faxed to the Leighton Art Centre as follows.

Please note we do not hold spots in summer camp without completed registration form and payment.
Payment:
We must receive your completed registration form and payment to guarantee your child’s space in summer camp. Post dated cheques are not accepted.
Confirmation:
Confirmation will be emailed to you upon receipt of registration form and payment .
Receipts:
Receipts and newsletter will be handed out on the first day of camp.
Day Camp hours:
9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Open House and Art Show:
Friday 1:30 pm
What should my child bring:
Lunch, snacks, plenty to fluids, hat, sunscreen and bug repellent. Children should wear play clothes, bring a paint shirt and rain gear. The Leighton Art Centre is not responsible for damaged clothing. Children should NOT bring electronics. Cell phones are not be be used at camp. The Leighton Art Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Cancellation Policy:
. $25.00 administration fee will apply to all cancellations.
. Full refund 30 days prior to camp date.
. $100.00 cancellation fee 29 days prior to camp date.
. No refund within 21 days prior to camp date (except with Doctor’s note).
. One scheduling change is allowed. Other changes are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.
