Plan your Visit
The Leighton Art Centre is located just 15 minutes southwest of the city of Calgary. We offer guided tours of the museum and gallery. We also facilitate small group tours for a minimal per person fee (tea, coffee and cookies included). Call to book a group tour 931-3633. We offer changing exhibits throughout the year (see Current Exhibit Link) and our Gallery Shoppe is always open to purchase original art and fine craft. School children tour the museum and gallery each and every weekday morning so it’s a good idea to plan your visit after lunch. Our 80 acres is open for strolling and we encourage visitors to pack beverages and/or a picnic lunch as there are no restaurant facilities in the immediate vicinity.
Please note there is no public transit available to the Leighton Art Centre. If you are traveling in the winter please check road conditions and be aware that country driving conditions can be extreme.
Our Hours are: Tuesday through Saturday 10am-4pm. Gates to the Leighton Property close and lock at 4pm (please note that if you are not in the immediate vicinity your vehicle my be locked in!). Sunday and Monday the property is closed to the public.

We have a portable ramp for persons in wheelchairs to enter the museum and gallery areas of the facility. Plan on calling ahead at (403) 931-3633 so we may have this ready for you.
