Connie's Bio

There once was a girl from Saskatchewan,
Who thought Van Gogh was a phenomenon
So she studied and read,
'Til thoughts spilled from her head,
Onto canvases small and gargantuan!

My paintings fall in the art category of 'contemporary fun'.  They reflect this through choice of subject, colour, title and simplicity to create a feeling of freshness.

Regardless of the subject, all the paintings start with an emphasis on composition.  Decisions are made on focal point(s), leading the eye, filling larger spaces.  Next, but equally important, thought goes into choice of colour.

All decisions are based on opening up to the joy and positiveness of life.
