Jeweliyana's Bio

Jeweliyana grew up in Calgary (as Patti Milner/Frocklage) attending Crescent Heights where she participated in an special individualized art program. After graduating she entered the corporate world. The creative calling never far off, she explored various mediums part time while she worked as a geological technician and later built a national award winning career in promotional advertising.

In 1994, through a series of serendipitous events she was introduced to glass and her fate was sealed. In 2010 she opened InFused Glass Works and has been immersed in the practice of kiln forming glass ever since. She creates and teaches at her home studio in Altadore.

In 2011 she was awarded the People's Choice Award from Parks Canada for her work in the Magic in the Mountains Exhibition. In 2012 her work was featured in "Art Takes Times Square" NYC, USA and also selected for the Glass Art Association of Canada's "The Last Glass Show" Tour.

‘View from a Secret Bridge’, a glass mosaic installation, incorporating fused glass components, can be seen in the Artisan Legacy Gardens at the historical Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Provincial Park, Calgary AB.
