Professional artist and instructor, Michelle Wiebe, will lead students through a fun, fast paced class learning the basics of linocut printmaking. She will walk students through an interesting history of this ancient art form, showing them examples that will get creativity flowing. Students will then in turn design and cut a lino block themselves, composing art that is simple yet powerful. Everyone will leave with a set of handmade cards printed using an antique book press, a reusable lino block and the skills to practice at home using basic art materials. This class is perfect for a fun day out for you or a group of friends!
