Fabric art is fun! Explore the possibilities of Linocut printmaking to create expressive patterns on textiles, joining professional artist Michelle Wiebe as she guides students through this versatile fabric printing technique. In this fun, fast paced class, students will learn the history behind the method as well as basic lino cutting skills, pattern development and custom colour mixing. Students will cut blocks, lay out their design motifs and hand print their own set of Flour Sack Tea Towels to take home. These would make an excellent gift, but you'll probably want to keep them for yourself! Excellent for beginner and intermediate linocut students.
Here is what past participants have said about Michelle Wiebe's workshops:
'' Michelle was a great presenter! She is practical, funny, creative, EXPERIENCED and sincere! " - (Plein Air workshop participant)
" I loved how Michelle structured the workshop to permit us to go through all the steps with lots of time with each. I feel really comfortable in doing this again based on what I have learned." - (Linocut workshop participant)
