Experimental Watercolour with Rex Beanland

Experimental watercolour is just about the most fun you can have with watercolour painting. It’s about playing with water and discovering all the fascinating things that water can do for us if we just ‘let go’ and let it have its way. Working with experimental watercolor is also about discovering new and exciting ways to get paint onto paper as well as about loosening up and getting in touch with your creativity. The process is very much stress free!

The goal of this workshop, however, is to create realistic watercolour paintings in a fun and creative way. You may find that you can create things that you didn’t think were possible using a homemade stamp, a tree branch, or a spray bottle. And just as an added bonus you are going to discover a whole bunch of techniques that you can take back to your own painting no matter what style you paint. This workshop is excellent for beginners, but will add new tools and techniques that watercolourists of all levels can benefit from.
