Learn the basics of linocut printmaking and using a tabletop letterpress to create one of a kind greeting cards. Students will learn all about how to compose a striking design, safe carving techniques as well as hand-printing basics. The students will then learn some of the fascinating histories of printing presses and have the chance to print their cards on an antique tabletop press. Participants will leave with a variety of hand printed projects, their own carved blocks as well as the skill to practice at home using basic art materials.
Excellent for beginner and intermediate linocut students.
