Create a unique drawing, on a unique surface, with only a small piece of sandpaper and a few drops of water. Join us at the Leighton Art Centre in learning how to draw 3 dimensional images on rocks. Sculptor Frank Bitonti will guide participants through the discovery and learning process of using sandpaper as a brush and finding the right consistency of water and rock powder - this is when the magic occurs! Using pastel to add extra colour, beautiful images come alive before your eyes.

Frank has been sculpting with rock since 2006. He has created 1000+ sculptures during his career. In 2015 when he was sanding the scratches out of one of his rocks he accidentally discovered he could draw a 3D image by using a piece of sandpaper.
