Up-cycling broken dishes with Anja Hertle

Mosaic artist, Anja Hertle is visiting Calgary to share her passion for mosaics using recycled materials. She will be demonstrating the very unique three-dimensional aspect of her technique as well as her creative compositions of broken china, pottery, stained glass as well as found objects such as type writer keys and the occasional fork. She has been refining her skills for the past 17 years and warns that this art form will get the creator hooked on mosaics and up-cycling.

During this workshop you will be creating an 11”x 11” indoor wall art piece of your own design.
All tools, glue and grout as well as a selection of materials are included.
The day will be spent designing, cutting and gluing your art work. A demonstration of the grouting technique will be given as well as a small bag of grout for you to finish your artwork at home.
